Congratulations to Mrs. Lisa Bakota - Township of Franklin Public Schools Educational Support Professional of the Year

Mrs. Lisa Bakota has been named as the Township of Franklin Public School’s Educational Support Professional of the Year!

Mrs. Bakota has been a valuable support staff member serving as an instructional aide within the Township of Franklin Public Schools for ten years with the last nine at the Caroline L. Reutter School.  Teacher Beth Aylmer commented that “(Mrs. Bakota) genuinely cares about the students she works with.  She is extraordinarily patient, consistent, and positive.  She takes the time to build rapport with students, learning about their likes and interests, and getting to know them.  She recognizes the amazing things they do in class, while being fair and firm.”

During her career at Reutter School Mrs. Bakota has provided sound instructional assistance to students in a variety of settings within the school.  As described by her colleagues, “ she takes an active role in the classrooms she is in.  While she takes direction very well, Mrs. Bakota’s strength is in her active approach to her job.  She is also extremely collaborative, and is willing to share her ideas and offer support.”

Mrs. Bakota is also actively involved within the school community in addition to her role as an instructional aide.  Mrs. Bakota plans for school-wide character development events while participating in the Reutter School Climate & Culture Committee.   New this year, Mrs. Bakota is planning to facilitate an after school Gardening Club extracurricular activity.
